Weird Dream

Hey guys,

So I meant to write something yesterday, but... well here's what happened. I went to the gym yesterday afternoon. I was a bit nervous since I've never really worked out before. However, I've walked through the weight room at school plenty of times so I have plenty of images in my head of boys pumping iron. I figured I should just try doing what they do, right? Wrong!

I decided to start with bicep curls since it's probably the easiest to do. I thought, how cool would it be to have big arms? I picked up the 20lb dumbells, which was a mistake. I could barely move them, let alone do a single curl. I'm such a wimp! I tried the 15's and the 10's, still too heavy. WIth the 5's I was able to do a few curls, but I felt so pathetic. However, the pump felt kinda good so I tried not to think about the weight too much. For the rest of my workout, I pretty much just did machines since they all have instructions. I just don't think I'm ready for the heavy weights, yet. Someday!

At the end of my workout, I was a mess. I was walking funny which probably means I overdid it. As I was on my way out, I bumped into my new boss, Mr. Borkowski. He asked me how my workout went, so I flexed him my little girlie guns. He laughed and asked me what kind of post-workout protein drink I was going to have. I told him I don't know and never thought about it. He said it was the most important thing to do after working out, that and sleep. He then took me next do to the vitamin shop and mixed together a few powers and some milk and mixed it in one of those shakey drink mixer things that bartenders use. He poured it into a cup for me and told me it'll help me recover from the workout.

I took his word for it and gave it a sip. I lied and told him it was delicious, when it really just tasted like really bitter chocolate and... I dunno paprika or something. Regardless, I drank the whole thing and thanked him. When I go home, I took a shower, noticing how sore my body started to feel. I also started to get really sleepy and immediately after showering, I curled up into my bed, with my towel wrapped around me, and dosed off.

Then there was this dream... I don't know how to describe it. You really can't describe dreams with words, but basically it was like being in a different body. When I looked around, everything look smaller. Chairs, tables, doorways, all looked like they had been designed for children. I felt strong, like I could move anything, lift anything. I was confident, powerful and I wanted more. I could feel all kinds of control in my muscles that I hadn't felt before. It was like being able to flex muscles I didn't even know I had. I liked it... no I loved it!

I woke up this morning, confused because that would mean I slept for about 14 hours. I never do that. I got home from the gym in the afternoon. What the heck was that dream about? I wanted more! When I got dressed, I noticed all of my clothes seemed to fit a bit tighter than usual, probably nothing, but worth noting. How cool would it be to fill out my shirts with big arms and shoulders? Maybe someday... Anyways, I gotta get to work. First day of training at the shop! Tootles!

Love,
Mel
