Back to School

Helllooo!

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Been really busy since school started on Monday and my friends all got back in town. I guess it's now the home stretch of senior year. Hooray! Finals are now rearing their ugly heads. :( Hopefully they won't interfere with my new hobby. ;)

So yeah, about that... Ever since that first day at the gym, I keep going back. I'm loving it!!! Even that day I said I was going to take off... I went anyways. I know they say you're not supposed to work out every single day, but I can't help it. It's weird because I really feel great, so I'm just gonna keep going until it's too much. In fact, yesterday I opted to spend gym class in the weight room. I was totally the only girl, but I didn't care. I didn't really pay attention to anyone else. I totally get in the 'zone' now when I work out. After school, I went to my gym for a second workout!

I'm really proud of the results I'm getting. My stomach is starting to get harder and my arms are feeling pretty firm. Not bad for a girl who just started working out! What's even better is that I seem to be having another growth spurt. In the last few days I grew almost a whole inch! I didn't think I was going to be having any more growth spurts at 17, but I'll take it! The only problem is my clothes are starting to get tight so I need to do some shopping.

Diet has also been a big thing. I've been bringing my own lunches to school, since the food they sell is gross. It's all pizza and tater tots. I've read that none of that stuff builds muscle, and frankly it's just really bad for you. I've been eating egg-whites for breakfast every morning and am bringing grilled chicken breasts to school for lunch. My mom thinks it's weird that I'm trying to eat so much, but mom's are rarely very worried when their teenage daughters are well fed. I don't know why I'm so hungry although I guess my growth spurt has something to do with it. I'm still drinking those protein shakes from the shop and am even having two servings a day. I can't get enough of them!

I'm back to sleeping normal hours, but I'm still having those weird dreams where I'm all big and strong. I'm getting used to them though, and frankly there kinda fun!

Oh yeah, so on Monday I told my friend Katerina about my new aspiration to be a female bodybuilder. She said I was completely insane and that I would only last for another month before I got sick of it. About an hour later I was at the gym doing lat pulldowns (I'm learning all the weight room lingo). Katerina is about my size and I tried to get her to join me in my "big dream," but she's more interested in attracting boys. She's having a birthday party on Saturday and invited a few, one that she wants to set me up with. I don't even remember his name.

Okay, time to get to bed. Talk to you all soon!

Love,
Mel

  1. Actually you can train on multiple days before taking a day off. As long as you recover fully. Eat, sleep and grow!
